RERA Advertising property permit

Thursday ,November 03, 2016

Recently, RERA has been busy turning out new broker regulations. In addition to the Circular regarding brokers’ duty to verify Title Deeds, there have been two more Circulars issued.

Real Estate Advertisements

Starting on October 1, 2016, all real estate advertisements must be approved by RERA. Brokerages will have to apply for permission via the Trakheesi system (on the Dubai Land Department website), and will be issued a permit number. Each ad must display the permit number. If ads do not contain the number, there will be a penalty. This regulation includes print, radio and social media ads.

Owner Licensing Requirement

All individuals listed on the Trade License must comply with the licensing rules under Bylaw 85 of 2006. Owners must register for and take the licensing course, and complete the required steps to obtain a RERA ID by November 15, 2016. Failure to do so will result in penalties, and possible revocation of the real estate license.
